When we first saw Laburnum Cottage, We fell in love.

The house is full of character and our efforts to renovate the building have enhanced the charm that this building offers. This house offers an opportunity to all, we spend a lot of time in the rear garden, a perfect place for evening entertainment and when the weather is colder, you can always spend time in the newly built large dining room which leads into the kitchen. The front garden is a little country heaven and get the full sun throughout the day. Wildlife is common here with squirrels, foxes, bats, birds and insects. Our resident Robin comes to say hello most days.

The lounge is spacious and we love having the multi-fuel log burner roaring in the evening when the kids are in bed. It warms the house perfectly and add a very cozy feel. We added a new boiler when we moved in and replaced the radiators to improve efficiency. Each bedroom is unique, keeping things simple with original floorboards and open fire places, the features are enhanced to keep the building as it was back in 1890. The attic room was completed when we moved in, this was originally our “chill out area” with tv and sofa, once the kids came along we changed it to the master bedroom. The views are great and you can see for miles. The rear toilet and storage area is really handy and the opportunity to knock through into the utility room is also an option, providing you with a downstairs bathroom.

The cul-de-sac is full of families, all ready to help with bins and trimming the hedges, we have some very good memories with these people and the shared Facebook group is very beneficial for offering help and sharing funny photos.

The Foxholes Road community also offers a Facebook group that has a focus on being a part of the community and all are keen to engage.

We are very attached to this home and would love it to go to the right people. We are wanting to move to start a new adventure and hope that the next people love this house just as much as we have.
